Yemlur Government School

Team Hongirana in collaboration with Step up for India worked together with the Landmark group to transform the walls of the school with drawings inspired by the students of Yemlur Government School.

A lovely mural of river and fields was the center piece of the art project while Warli art, the hand-print mural and other murals formed the rest. The young volunteers of Landmark group brought in energetic camaraderie that was infectious, creating a festive vibe in the atmosphere.

A novelty in this project was the participation of two little volunteers who had probably tagged along for fun but ended up learning some valuable life lessons about empathy for those who are lesser privileged. Although there was a lot of hard work involved, everyone left with lasting memories of having created something beautiful while having loads of fun in the process.
