A Creative Morning at Kere Habba: A Memorable Experience for Our Students

It was a lovely early spring morning, perfect for an outdoor event. A small group of eager students set out to participate in the Thalagattapura Kere Habba drawing competition. This special event, organized by various NGOs along with lake authorities, was all about celebrating and raising awareness for our neighborhood lakes.

Preparing for the Big Day

The theme for the competition was “The Importance of Lakes”, and our HF art team worked with the children to get them ready. Since only a few students could participate due to logistical constraints, the team carefully selected those who would take part.

A Day Full of Creativity

On the big day, Suma and Revathi accompanied the children to the venue, where they joined over 200 other young artists from different private and government schools. The event was beautifully set up, with children seated under the shade of trees, looking out at the peaceful lake. The organizers provided all the materials, making sure every child could focus on their creativity without any worries.

Beyond the competition, the students were also treated to nutritious snacks and received participation certificates, making it a truly special day for them.

A Proud Moment for All

The best surprise of the day? Keerthan, a talented 5th grader from Ganigarapalya School, won 2nd place! His achievement brought smiles and excitement to everyone—his friends, teachers, and the entire HF team.

It was a big confidence boost, not just for him but for all our students, showing them that their efforts and talents are valued and recognized. We’re incredibly proud and can’t wait to see what they accomplish next!

A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers, organizers, and of course, our young artists for making this such a wonderful experience!
